Total Fitness

Client: Total Fitness

Venue: Warrington

Dates: 5th May 2007 to 23rd May 2007

Set Up: A demonstration pod was delivered to Total Fitness using the unique Astracomm software interface. The pod was completely portable using our Lithium battery and each day the pod was used in different locations, this varied from internal marketing within their own Gym to car parks outside rival gymnasiums, Motorway service stations and Shopping centres.

Comparison: At the end of the trial the statistics were uploaded into the software calculator and shown to the clients. The results were fantastic and we were able to show day to day usage and uptake in conjunction with the promotion they were running.

Total fitness spent £9,000 on Radio advertising and £4000 on 90,000 hand distributed paper flyers to run concurrently with our pod trial. The radio produced 2 memberships with flyering creating 2 new memberships, our Bluetooth Marketing System out performed both of these methods and created 5 memberships from the same promotion.

Overview: Not only can we boast that we were environmentally friendly by not sending out 90,000 paper flyers, but we more than doubled the membership uptake over the 3 week period. Our pod does not last for a life cycle of 3 weeks and can be used over and over again for years to come. It shows daily results so that its usage can be targeted and its effectiveness gauged. The cost comparison is dramatic. If the pod was purchased for £1475 and used for three years against the cost of the flyer exercise each month over the same period the difference is over £100,000.00 in savings!

Result: A resounding win for the new virtual flyer technology and an initial purchase of 6 units from Total Fitness. Joanne Hallam the group sales and marketing manager is enthused by this new product and has agreed to roll them out across the whole estate of gymnasiums and has offered to help promote the product to the client base of Total Fitness. This is a great case study showing the effectiveness of bluetooth marketing and why many are predicting Astracomm to become Market Leaders within this industry.

 

National Tyres

Client: National Tyres

Venue: Truro, Cornwall, UK

Date: March 2007

Set Up: A demonstration pod was delivered to National tyres using the unique Astracomm software interface. The pod was used statically in the depot and was placed inside a cardboard box to stop dust and dirt contaminating the pod. The pod was aimed at hitting moving traffic some 50 meters away on the dual carriageway.

Result:  At the end of the week long trial the stats were uploaded into the software calculator and shown to the clients. The results were used to evaluate the special situation of approaching moving vehicles. The results showed that 35 messages were accepted, out of the 35 messages received, Ten (30%) of the recipients used the messages to purchase tyres. A normal flyer campaign result would be a 1-3% conversion rate, we achieved 30%......
