How Bluetooth Proximity Marketing Works

Instead of a traffic jam becoming a pain, you can be sending out your business cards and messages to passing vehicles whose occupants are using bluetooth headsets.

Step By Step

1. The Bluetooth enabled device enters the target area of the pod.

2. The unique identity of the phone (MAC Address) is acquired by the pod.

3. The MAC address is checked by the pod for previous attempts or successful send of the file within the current marketing campaign.

4. Providing the criteria for sending the campaign file is satisfied, a request is then sent to the device asking the user if they would like to receive the file from the pod.

5. If the recipient accepts, the file is sent to the device.

6. When multiple files are to be sent to the device in a campaign, these are transferred to the device without any additional user input.

7. The pod logs the result of the send in the log files confirming whether the transfer was successful or not.
